BLACK on Android is a two-file game. The launcher installs first, the ISO carries the campaign. One short countdown, then both buttons appear together, in the order you need them.

Before You Download

Two checks prevent nearly every failed setup. Storage first: the ISO alone is about 1.69 GB, and Android needs working room while you move it into place, so keep at least 2.5 GB free before you start. Connection second: put the ISO on Wi-Fi. It is a single large file, a dropped download cannot be resumed by the launcher, and a file even slightly short of its full size fails at launch, not at download.

Phone third, briefly: the launcher needs Android 10.0 or newer. Anything mid-range from the last few years runs the campaign properly.

Installing After the Download

Install the launcher from the APK first. Then open it once so it creates its Black folder, close it, and move the ISO into that folder, or open the launcher again and use Import game to pick the ISO where it already sits. Start the game from the launcher. The homepage carries the same steps with the folder path spelled out and the fixes for the messages players meet most.

Why Download From Here

Two-file games attract broken re-uploads, usually an old launcher paired with a trimmed ISO. This page publishes its checks instead: the launcher package is com.racas.black, the APK measures 22,730,089 bytes, and the ISO measures 1,686,306,816 bytes with its disc structure verified. Our reviewer finished missions using these exact two files on real phones before they were listed. No bundled installers, no extra apps riding along, and no store rating borrowed from a shop the game never appeared in.

Download FAQs

Why are there two download buttons?

BLACK on Android needs both parts: the APK installs the launcher, and the ISO holds the game data. The launcher without the ISO has nothing to run, so this page gives you both, in order.

Which file do I download first?

The APK, because it is small and because opening the launcher once creates the Black folder the ISO belongs in. Then fetch the ISO on Wi-Fi and place it in that folder, or use Import game.

How long does the ISO take to download?

At about 1.69 GB it depends on your connection: minutes on good home Wi-Fi, much longer on mobile data, which is why we recommend Wi-Fi for this file.

Why is there a countdown before the buttons?

The short countdown lets the page prepare and prevents an accidental tap from starting a 1.69 GB download you did not mean to fetch. At zero, both buttons appear.

The game says its data is missing. What happened?

The ISO is not in the Black folder, or a browser renamed it. Move the file, exactly as downloaded, into /storage/emulated/0/Black, or open the launcher and use Import game to pick it directly.

Can I download on a PC and move the files to my phone?

Yes. Fetch both files anywhere, copy them across, install the APK on the phone, and place the ISO in the Black folder or import it from the launcher.

Is this an official Electronic Arts release?

No. BLACK was published by Electronic Arts for PlayStation 2 and Xbox in 2006. The Android version is an unofficial fan port, and this site is an independent guide and download page for it.

Will updating the launcher delete my progress?

No. Install the new launcher over the old one; settings and progress carry across, and the ISO in the Black folder does not need to be downloaded again.
